Antifragile: Things That Gain from Disorder
Nassim Nicholas Taleb
This episode will focus on helping you build a legacy in your life, one full of meaning and impact. Not too long ago I sat down to write a life plan after reading a bit of Tony Robbins. I sat there in a hotel room in Portland, Maine as two feet of snow blanketed the city.
I’ve always wanted to live a meaningful life and really enjoyed getting to spend some time to concretize my life goals. It started with a bit of a morbid thought. I had to ask myself, “What do I want people to remember me for?” In other words, what did I want people to say about me at my funeral.
Talk about scary, right?
It started with an overarching goal and then I had to break it down into smaller steps to line up what I am doing today to match what I want to have done in my life.
Not much different from a long-range business plan. Start with what you want to see in one year, then break it down into quarters.
This is why I am so happy to be joined with Todd Henry. He has worked extensively with businesses and entrepreneurs to build a business around the legacy you want to leave in life.
